The interactive app “Landscapes of Justice” is part of the ETHOS project. This projects seeks to develop a new theory of justice and fairness for Europe. For this purpose it is also important to investigate how people living in Europe perceive the topic of justice.
What does justice mean to you? How just do you perceive your life in different areas? Are you interested in finding out how people in your country and in other countries see it? Do you want to learn more about justice? Do you feel like sharing your experiences with the topic of justice with others? What does justice have to do with human rights?
You can engage with all these topics in this app!
We have chosen six areas that we consider particularly important in the life of people living in Europe:
Health
Housing
Sexual orientation
Freedom of expression
Political participation
Political representation
These topics are important for all people in Europe.
In each area you will find four questions or statements that you can answer for yourself. Responses range from “not at all” to “completely”. Depending on which answer you choose, you will receive 0, 1, 2 or 3 points. You can go back to the previous statement at any time and change your response. You also don’t need to answer all areas, simply pick the ones you think are important.
Once you are finished with answering to the different areas, you can compare your answers with the answers of other people. You can either compare them with people from your own country, or with people from other countries. This part of the app only works once you have already answered to the statements or questions.
If you are interested in learning more about the topics of justice and fairness and the areas we have chosen, you can find more information under “learn more”. You can also go there immediately.
At the end you also have the opportunity to share your personal landscape with your friends on Facebook or Twitter. You can also give us feedback on the app or share your personal stories and experiences on the topic of justice with us.
On this section you can read about the things other's say about the app. The text will change every 10 seconds.
Let’s get started now! How just is your world?
